Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Cycle Mechanic role based in Putney. The Cycle Mechanic will diagnose issues, perform routine and complex repairs, and carry out regular servicing on a wide range of bicycles. Daily tasks include inspecting bikes, adjusting gears and brakes, replacing components, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The role also involves advising customers on suitable repairs, maintenance schedules, and upgrades, as well as maintaining a clean and organized workshop area. The mechanic will collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow and a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform general Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair on a variety of bicycles.
- Skills in Preventive Maintenance to identify wear and prevent mechanical failures.
- Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical issues accurately and efficiently.
- Experience working with Heavy Equipment or specialized bike tools and workshop machinery.
- Previous experience as a bicycle mechanic or in a similar technical role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work on-site in Putney and stand for extended periods.
- Relevant technical training or certifications in cycle maintenance are an advantage.
