Human Resources Officer
Location: Hook, Hampshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (DOE)
Our client, a long‑established and highly respected specialist engineering services company, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to join their team based in Hook, Hampshire.

The Role
- Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive HR service across the UK business, supporting employees and managers while ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
- Acting as the first point of contact for all HR‑related matters.
- Managing employee relations and providing guidance on personnel issues.
- Coordinating recruitment campaigns, onboarding, and induction processes.
- Supporting performance management, appraisals, and employee development.
- Advising management on employment law, salaries, redundancy, and HR best practice.
- Maintaining confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures remain compliant with current legislation.
- Supporting quality management systems and providing management systems assistance across the wider group where required.
About You
- Previous experience as an HR Officer, HR Advisor, or in a similar generalist HR role.
- Good working knowledge of UK Employment Law.
- Experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, training, and HR administration.
- Knowledge of quality management systems or quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- Sound judgement and the confidence to make decisions in challenging situations.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written English and strong administrative skills.
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
