Revit Technician (MEP)

The Revit Technician (MEP) will join our Birmingham office, producing detailed 3D models and coordinated drawings for building services projects. This full‑time position offers hybrid working and a salary between £30,000 and £45,000 per annum. The role involves collaborating with engineers to develop precise MEP designs, ensuring clash detection and compliance with project specifications.

Birmingham – hybrid working available.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate 3D MEP models using Autodesk Revit.
  • Create coordinated Mechanical and Electrical building services drawings throughout all project stages.
  • Carry out model coordination and clash detection using Revit and Navisworks.
  • Work closely with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to develop coordinated design solutions.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and resolve design clashes.
  • Assist with model reviews, audits and quality assurance procedures.
  • Prepare drawings and models for design reviews, construction and project handover.
  • Ensure BIM deliverables comply with project standards and client requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, architects and external consultants throughout project delivery.
  • Support the continuous development of BIM processes and modelling standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Revit Technician within a Building Services or MEP consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit for MEP modelling.
  • Experience producing coordinated Mechanical and Electrical services models.
  • Understanding of clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and collaborative workflows.
  • Experience with COBie or an understanding of COBie data requirements would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
