We are seeking a full-time, permanent Criminal Law Paralegal for our busy Leeds office to join our expanding team.
Your Profile
- Be currently undertaking, or have completed, legal studies – for example, through the LPC/BPC (or equivalent), SQE preparation, or relevant academic modules/experience
- Be able to demonstrate an interest in Criminal Law
- Have Police station accreditation
- Have strong organisational skills
- Have the ability to work under pressure
We would like the ideal candidate to:
- Provide the highest level of client care in the management of client matters
- Provide support to Fee Earners
- Build relationships with internal and external partners
- Ensure that files are managed effectively, creating letters or documents on the case management system
- Complete public funding applications
- Collating and redacting large documents for court bundles where necessary
- Liasing with the local authorities, Police and medical professionals to request/receive documents
- Liasing with Courts and experts
Our offices are friendly, working entirely paperless with recent significant investment into modern IT to enable you to work proficiently. Our junior members are office-based in order to take advantage of onsite training provided by an established criminal team.
