Maintenance Craft Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support RWE Control and Instrument, Electrical, Mechanical, and Stores teams.
• Ability and willingness to retrain and develop new skills.
• Conduct planned maintenance, breakdowns, and outage responsibilities with each team when required.
• Covering and assisting in the site Stores when required.
• Adhere to all RWE/Hargreaves Health and Safety regulations and policies.
• Loading/unloading vehicles, general forklift duties, and deliveries off site.
• Willingness to work reasonable overtime when required.
• Complete any reasonable instruction directed by RWE Supervisor or Hargreaves Site Manager.

Qualifications and Attributes

• NVQ qualification in mechanical or electrical maintenance desirable.
• Maintenance experience or strong desire to develop skills and knowledge.
• Passport to Safety or IOSH Managing Safely desirable (training provided).
• Counterbalance Fork Truck desirable.
• Reach Fork Truck and Telehandler skills (training provided).
• Full driving licence (essential).
• Basic computer skills.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and as top person (medium risk) and at height in an outdoor environment.
• Prepared to follow process, complete work to a high standard, and take responsibility for development and actions.
• Role model the RWE desired behaviours: trust, passion, and performance.
• Safety conscious, confident to challenge unsafe acts, raise concerns, and help drive the safety culture on site.
