Apprentice Community Coach

Are you passionate about cricket, community sport, and inspiring the next generation? Warwickshire Cricket Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Community Coach to join our team and help deliver engaging cricket and physical activity programmes across schools and communities throughout Warwickshire.

This 15‑month apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in community coaching, gaining practical experience, recognised qualifications, and the skills needed to progress within the sports industry. You will receive support and development through WCF, Coach Core, and Lifetime Learning while working alongside experienced coaches and playing a key role in delivering our Chance to Shine programme, helping children develop confidence, skills, and a lifelong connection with cricket.

Key responsibilities and requirements (selected):

  • Deliver sport or physical activity sessions to children or young people in schools and community settings.
  • Volunteer or support community activity; liaise with stakeholders.
  • Travel across Warwickshire and be flexible to support occasional evening and weekend activity.
  • Comply with safeguarding procedures: complete an ECB DBS check and follow all safety protocols.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Experience delivering sport or physical activity sessions.
  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Enthusiastic, inclusive, reliable, and eager to learn.
  • Passion for using sport to make a positive difference.
