Childcare Apprenticeship – High Peak

Overview

Cheeky Monkeys Day Nursery are looking for a new Childcare Apprentice. You will be studying toward your Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Level3.

About the Employer

Cheeky Monkeys Nursery provides care for children aged 0 to 5 years old on an all‑year‑round basis (we close on all Bank holidays and for one week at Christmas).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a keyworker for a group of children and contribute to their ongoing developmental needs and assessments.
• Enter observations into the Tapestry system and liaise with external agencies and parents/carers.
• Plan and provide stimulating and developmentally appropriate activities, including preparing resources and nursery areas.
• Work flexibly and cooperatively as part of a team, potentially with all children in the setting from birth to five years old.
• Act as a professional and positive role model to children, staff and parents and represent Cheeky Monkeys day nursery positively at all times.
• Attend staff meetings, training and parent evenings occasionally outside nursery operating hours as required.
• Respect and value all colleagues, children and parents while encouraging a positive and diverse working environment.

Training Outcome

There is a possibility of being offered a full‑time role after successful completion of the apprenticeship.
