Pay Rates:

• £14.50 per hour PAYE
• £16.25 per hour PAYE Advanced
• Overtime after 8 hours: £19.32 per hour PAYE
• Overtime after 8 hours: £21.66 per hour PAYE Advanced

Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Plant Driver to support a well-established client in East Lothian on an ad hoc basis. If you’re looking for flexible work with competitive pay and a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

• Delivering and collecting plant machinery and equipment across East Lothian and surrounding areas
• Loading, securing and unloading plant equipment safely and efficiently
• Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring all paperwork is accurate
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Providing excellent customer service at customer sites
• Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• Early morning starts
• Overtime available
• Minimum 8 hours’ pay guaranteed per shift

What You’ll Need

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience transporting plant machinery (essential)
• Experience loading and securing plant equipment
• Good understanding of load restraint regulations
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements)
• A reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
