Applicants are invited for this permanent post based within the Blood Science laboratory departments at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Successful applicants will provide an administrative role to the professional clinical laboratory service.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the laboratory management team within Blood Science (including Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Clinical Chemistry departments).
- Minute taking, general secretarial, clerical and office duties.
- Use IT applications and handle telephone calls.
- Work autonomously.
- Complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
Qualifications
- Good keyboard skills and proficiency in Office 365.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritise workload, work accurately under pressure and to approach work flexibly.
- Education to National 5 or equivalent qualification in English plus a secretarial qualification or equivalent experience.
Working Patterns
Monday – Friday, with possible evening or weekend work as required by the service.
Benefits and Changes
From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. Pay will increase accordingly so that overall remuneration is not affected.
