Full-Time Chemistry Teacher Required for September

Are you a passionate Chemistry Teacher looking for a new teaching opportunity this September? Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary academy in West Lancashire to recruit a dedicated Chemistry Teacher for a full-time, one-term position starting in September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a supportive Science department and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school welcomes applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are looking to develop their career within a supportive and successful environment.

The Role

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons that inspire students and support progress.
  • Teach the Chemistry curriculum with enthusiasm, helping students develop their scientific knowledge and practical skills.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students are encouraged to achieve their potential.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level (ECT applications welcomed).
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality Science lessons.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • A genuine passion for Chemistry and helping young people succeed.
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full 10-year career history.
  • A minimum of two professional references.
  • The legal right to work in the UK.
