Experienced Gardener – Private Estate in Hampshire

Job Overview

An Experienced Gardener, preferably RHS qualified or equivalent, required to work full time on an established 7 acre private country garden near Petersfield, Hampshire. The garden comprises various lawns, a walled garden with a large modern glasshouse, orchard, topiary, herbaceous beds and shrub beds. There are two one-bed cottages, one of which could be available to the right applicant.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain specialist machinery, including tractor with trailer & front loader, strimmers, blowers and hedge cutters, ensuring all tools remain in excellent condition.
• Manage and maintain the irrigation system.

Qualifications

• Experienced Gardener, preferably RHS qualified or equivalent.
• Practical, physically fit and enthusiastic gardener with excellent plant knowledge, strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for traditional horticulture and productive gardening, proactive approach and a positive can‑do attitude.

Mandatory Requirements

• Enhanced DBS check (covered by employer).
• Signing of a Non‑Disclosure Agreement.

Salary

£35k – £40k per annum
