Eligibility: You must be 18 or older.
Compensation: Tesco Shift Lead pay starts at £15.59 per hour, rising to £16.86 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week; roles from 12 hours are also available.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to deliver a great customer experience in-store.
- Operate across all store areas and serve as the primary point for day-to-day operational queries.
- Build positive, inclusive relationships that enable colleagues to perform at their best.
- Confidently lead the store in the Manager’s absence.
- Make balanced, flexible decisions and adapt well to change.
- Co‑coach colleagues, provide feedback, and role‑model excellent service.
- Stay curious and find opportunities to better serve customers, communities, and the planet.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a team‑lead or management position within a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Strong role‑modeling and passion for delivering great service and meeting customer needs.
- Ability to build positive, long‑lasting relationships and foster an inclusive, supportive team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, using varied methods to keep the team informed.
- A natural leader who motivates and inspires the team to deliver outstanding results.
