Job Title: Sales Assistant – Part Time – 30 Hours
Location: Reading, RG1 7QG
Salary: £12.75 per hour, increasing to £13.44 after full training; plus discretionary bonus up to £2,000 per year, pro‑rated.
Hours: 30 hours per week (Part‑time)
Employment Type: Contractual, full flexibility required Monday to Sunday.
About the Role
As a Store Colleague at H&T, you’ll be the face of our leading business, providing a warm welcome and expert support to every customer in one of our 285+ stores. You will take the time to understand customer needs, offering tailored solutions and ensuring they leave with the best possible outcome. No prior pawnbroking experience required; a genuine interest in people, integrity, and willingness to learn are essential. Full training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional approach.
- Assist customers with a range of services including pawnbroking, retail sales, and financial products.
- Maintain high standards of compliance and store presentation.
- Work collaboratively with the team to exceed sales targets.
- Handle transactions accurately and securely.
- Multilingual skills are a bonus.
