Solicitor – Projects (Procurement) – Bristol – 3+ Years PQE
Location: Bristol
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £75,000 to £95,000 (DOE)
A respected national firm is seeking a Projects Associate with 3+ years’ post qualification experience to join its specialist Procurement team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of the largest, most complex and politically sensitive regulated procurements in the UK, advising high profile public sector bodies and major strategic suppliers. You will join a Tier 1 ranked team known for its technical excellence, collaborative culture and high quality work.
Role
You’ll be responsible for delivering high quality procurement and commercial advice across a varied and complex workload, including:
- Advising on regulated procurement processes and commercial contracts
- Supporting public sector clients with procurement strategy, tender documentation and risk mitigation
- Drafting and negotiating bespoke procurement and contractual documentation
- Advising bidders on maximising prospects of successful awards
- Managing and resourcing matters effectively, delegating where appropriate
- Contributing to team culture, service excellence and departmental initiatives
- Developing junior team members and supporting their technical growth
- Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for business development
- Establishing your standing as a subject matter expert within procurement and projects
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 3+ years’ PQE advising on regulated procurement and commercial contracts
- Strong technical understanding of public procurement frameworks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage a complex and varied workload effectively
- Motivation, organisation and a proactive mindset
- Experience leading or mentoring junior colleagues
- Confidence building client relationships and contributing to business development
- Must be an SRA registered lawyer
