The Opportunity
We’re looking for a talented and driven Sous Chef to join the team at Oban Brasserie, located within Perle Oban Hotel.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef, or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up, to take on a key leadership role in a busy, quality-led kitchen. Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help lead the team, drive standards, and play a central role in delivering consistently excellent food.
If you enjoy being at the heart of service, developing others, and working with fresh, seasonal Scottish produce, this role offers both challenge and progression.

What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchenLeading service from the pass and on section both during dinner and breakfast serviceCoaching and developing junior chefsEnsuring consistency, quality, and pace across every serviceSupporting stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisationMaintaining high standards of food safety and hygieneDeputising for the Head Chef when required
What We’re Looking For
Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a busy, quality-led kitchenA calm, organised, and hands-on approach during servicePassion for fresh, seasonal produceGood understanding of kitchen operations, prep, and service flowStrong communication and a team-focused mindsetAmbition to progress and take on more responsibility
