Apprentice Early years Educator -Twinkle Totz Day Nursery – UB1 3AY

Introduction

Apprentice Early Years Educator required at Twinkle Totz Day Nursery. We are looking for someone with a love of working with children who will gain the level 3 qualification. You must have previous experience of working with children and ideally have the Childcare Level 2 qualification.

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with children aged 0-5 years old, looking after their daily needs such as feeding, nappy changing and toileting.
• Work as part of a team to deliver and meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children.
• Plan, provide and support age-appropriate play opportunities in line with the curriculum and individual needs of the children in your care.
• Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all children in your care.
• Be a key person to an allocated number of children and their families.
• Observe, assess and record children’s learning and development progress.
• Provide an enabling environment that meets the needs of each unique individual child.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers.
• Adhere to and follow the setting’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality is adhered to at all times.
• Attend regular team meetings.
• Ensure standards of health and safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
• Attend additional training events and meetings as identified by the setting manager for training requirements.
• Liaise and work in partnership with external agencies (both statutory and voluntary) to support children within the setting as appropriate.
• Undertake any other duties as deemed necessary by the setting manager.

Training Outcome

For the successful candidate, there is the possibility of ongoing employment upon completion of the relevant qualification.
