Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant

Introduction

We are seeking to recruit a new member to join our pharmacy family in our innovative small team of qualified professionals as an apprentice Pharmacy Assistant. For the right person, there is the opportunity to secure full-time employment and progress to a higher-level qualification, such as the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician.

We are an Independent pharmacy serving the customers of Haverhill.

What You’ll Do

• Dispensing of medication to patients
• Over‑the‑counter sales of non‑prescription medication
• Check and monitor prescription slips
• Health & safety responsibility
• Rotate stock
• Use of pharmacy software
• Data entry relating to medication
• Labelling and dispensing
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Working within a team environment
• Liaison with doctors’ surgery and health professionals
• Completion of apprenticeship work on time
• Training outcome: Pharmacy Technician Level3 Apprenticeship – a permanent position within the organisation

Working Arrangements

Working week: Monday – Friday, between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm. Some weekends and evening work may be required at times.

Expected duration: 1 year 3 months.
