Overview
The Process Technician position based in Chieveley is a full‑time, front‑line role with Pertemps Thames Water, offering a salary from £29,349 per annum depending on skills and experience. The role involves working across multiple sewage treatment sites, carrying out maintenance, operating plant and equipment, and ensuring essential operations run smoothly under all weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
- Operate and clean plant and equipment to maintain on‑site operational and health and safety standards.
- Attend to reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
- Keep sites clean and tidy and carry out safety and security checks.
- Carry out daily site checks to ensure compliant operation.
What you’ll need
- Self‑motivated, disciplined, eager to learn and take ownership of fault resolution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork oriented, proactive with recommendations and improvements.
- Prepared to be trained in safety procedures and health and safety standards.
- Full UK driver’s licence.

Working pattern
38 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 3:36pm, plus standby rota payments and overtime opportunities.
