About the Role

Join our Child in Need team to advance plans for children who are subject to Child Protection plans and Child in Need plans as well as manage care proceedings cases.

You will work with families, undertake meetings with experts and make suitable recommendations and undertake direct work with children and families.

You will be able to support good social work practice using Signs of Safety as an intervention approach.

What We Will Provide You in Return

Training opportunities for the length of your career.

We have a tremendous offer from our award winning learning and development team to help you grow your career and feed your interests.

But more importantly we can provide you the time and encouragement to get the best out of what you can learn.

That’s part of what helps our social workers grow in their profession.

It’s also in part because we are committed to growing our own as far as possible.

The chance to always have someone to talk to.

To get expert help and advice.

Or just to be a pleasant listener.

This is part of our responsibility of care to you.

We’ll also offer as much flexible and hybrid working as we can, looking after your welfare and – where we can – keeping your caseloads manageable.

The opportunity to execute the work properly and provide you the support you need.

We want to keep getting better and we want you to be part of it.

We’ll offer you the confidence to better yourself, and to stay.

Working Pattern

You will be working in a hybrid model, typically 8.30-5 Monday-Thursday and 8.30-4.30 on a Friday, based in Halford House 2 days a week, with full time hours.

We are flexible with our hours having a flexible working programme with part time and fixed term alternatives.

This offers the option to work a 9‑day working fortnight as a full‑time employee.

Qualifications and Requirements

You will be a Qualified Social Worker with a CQSW, DipSW, Degree in Social Work or comparable recognised Social Work qualification.

You must be on the registry of either Social Work England or the Health Care Professions Council.

If you are in the UK we may be able to offer sponsorship and relocation package if relocating to Leicester.
