Facilities Technician – Stafford Fulfilment Centre
Location: Stafford North Park Business Park, Stone Road, Stafford, ST18 9SE
Salary: £31,000 per annum (full-time, 39 hours per week)

The Role
We are looking to recruit a technician with experience in the maintenance of all plant and equipment associated with a major distribution centre. The Facilities Technician will provide both reactive and proactive maintenance services within the FC, ensuring the site’s productivity and operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure health & safety best practices are followed, complying with all standards and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing on a variety of equipment and systems.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns, communicating clearly and working efficiently to fix issues.
- Conduct regular checks, inspections, and tests to confirm safe operation.
- Maintain high levels of equipment availability for internal customers.
- Consult with contractors and suppliers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proficient in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with a multi‑skilled approach.
- Hands‑on experience implementing and maintaining planned maintenance systems.
- Skilled at diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of equipment.
- Able to read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance.
- Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate and convey information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a team‑oriented environment.
- Extensive experience fault‑finding and repairs across building systems (HVAC, dock doors, plumbing, electrical, general maintenance).
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Competent in basic computer applications, supporting maintenance‑related software systems.
