Abstract
We are looking for a committed Meat Process Worker to become a part of our food production team. This position is in a fast paced atmosphere dedicated to meat processing and food safety standard compliance. The selected candidate will be instrumental in maintaining high quality manufacturing standards and ensuring compliance with health and safety laws. Previous expertise in food manufacturing or meat processing is a plus but not needed since training will be offered. All roles, including internships, are paid and provide the opportunity to acquire skills in the food business.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and processing of meat products to company standards and safety guidelines
- Operate specialised equipment for cutting, trimming and packaging meat
- Ensure that all goods fulfil HACCP guidelines and food safety requirements at every stage of production.
- Keep your workplace clean and tidy, following hygiene guidelines.
- Conduct quality tests on meat products to detect any faults or anomalies
- Assist the team in achieving production targets while following safety standards
- Accurately record production volumes, weights and quality control measurements
Skills
- It is vital to have knowledge of HACCP concepts and food safety legislation
- Good experience or knowledge of food manufacturing
- Mechanical skills useful for the operation and repair of processing equipment
- Basic arithmetic abilities for precise measuring, weighing and recording data
- Strong ability to operate alone and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Attention to detail for maintaining high levels of product quality and safety standards
