Job Description:

We currently have one full-time, 12-month secondment vacancy for a Referral Coordinator based in our Children’s Front Door Service in Exeter.

Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for the Front Door; filter and prioritise incoming enquiries and accurately enter details into the database for the attention of a Social Worker.
  • Promote DCC Customer Service Standards by responding positively and professionally to telephone calls from members of the public requesting information and guidance from Children’s Social Care.
  • Provide high support during times of high challenge and maintain accurate records.
  • Use IT systems to keep records up to date.

Qualifications

  • GCSE pass in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Previous administration experience, preferably working within social care.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills; ability to engage with children, young people and families from differing abilities and language.
  • Positive, professional attitude and approach to work.
  • DBS disclosure required.
