Position Overview
We welcome applications from qualified dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin a career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant. The role includes supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales, stock replenishment, and delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary.
Location and Hours
Thornton Heath. 37 hours a week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 11:00‑19:00; Thursday 09:00‑17:00. Some Saturdays may be required.
Salary
£14.20 per hour (Dispenser) / up to £13.15 per hour depending on age (Trainee pharmacy assistant).
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment.
- Delivering exceptional service across the pharmacy counter and dispensary.
- Ensuring customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising.
- Working well in a team or independently and thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
- Being open to learning and training in additional services.
Qualifications and Experience
- No prior experience required; a passion for healthcare and customer service preferred.
- Ability to work well independently or in a team.
- Confidence to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) or a keen interest in healthcare to begin a pharmacy career as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
