About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you’ll support pupils aged 4-19 with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD and attention-related difficulties
- Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
- Sensory and physical disabilities
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development
- Implement behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, teaching assistants, and wider school staff
- Promote independence, confidence, and achievement in every learner

Who We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from candidates who:
- Hold (or are due to obtain) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Are completing or have recently completed their teacher training
- Have a genuine passion for inclusive education
- Are patient, resilient, and adaptable
- Want to develop specialist SEN knowledge and experience
- Are available Monday to Friday during school hours
- Hold, or are willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
