Senior Reinsurance Technician (XOL)
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Client Services Support team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Witham and is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims
- Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds
- Manage all XOL post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e‑trading, ad‑hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps
- Promote, build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and markets
- Participate in training sessions, and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting
Qualifications
- Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, e.g., handling cash loss/large loss and a desire to move into the Reinsurance sector
- Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure
- Successful management of workload and ability to manage expectations

- Reinsurance Claims experience
- Experience within Excess of Loss (XOL)
- Experience working in a technical capacity for a broker
- Experience using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository)
- Knowledge of CLASS system useful for review of London market queries
- Knowledge of Letters Of Credit and the Citibank process
