1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 2 Support)

Pay Rate: £95-£110 per day (DOE)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Cover People are recruiting for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Salford. The school is committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential within a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment. With a strong emphasis on inclusion, high expectations and developing confident, respectful learners, the school provides a supportive, family‑focused environment where pupils and staff are encouraged to thrive together.
This rewarding role involves working closely with a Year 2 pupil on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support throughout the school day. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil access learning, build confidence and develop positive relationships within the classroom environment.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm and consistent when faced with challenges
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team
- Patience, empathy and a proactive approach to supporting individual needs
- A commitment to helping children achieve both academically and socially
