What You’ll Do
- Greet clients and provide a warm and professional welcome.
- Answer the telephone and respond to client enquiries.
- Book and manage client appointments.
- Prepare treatment areas before clients arrive.
- Clean and maintain treatment rooms and salon areas to a high standard.
- Carry out client consultations and identify individual treatment needs.
- Provide beauty treatments in line with current skills, training and level of competence.
- Develop advanced beauty therapy skills, including electrical face and body treatments.
- Support clients throughout their treatment and maintain professional client care.
- Provide suitable aftercare and treatment recommendations.
- Advise clients on appropriate products and support retail sales.
- Maintain accurate client records and consultation information.
- Follow salon health, safety, hygiene and infection prevention procedures.
- Clean and maintain equipment in line with manufacturer and salon procedures.
- Manage stock, check product levels and support with stock rotation.
- Promote salon treatments, products and special offers.
- Work alongside experienced therapists and take part in ongoing training and development.
- Support the wider salon team and contribute to a professional and welcoming salon environment.
Training Outcome
Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into a permanent Advanced Beauty Therapist role within the salon. The apprentice will have developed advanced practical skills, client care experience and confidence working within a professional salon environment. Further career progression may include becoming a Senior Beauty Therapist, specialising in advanced face or body treatments, progressing into salon management, or undertaking further training and higher‑level qualifications within the beauty and aesthetics industry.
