About the role
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable technician to support the Science Department.
Are you organised with a knowledge of Health and Safety and the ability to prepare, store and dispose of chemicals safely in a laboratory environment? Responsibilities will include helping across the science department at The Ongar Academy with a range of duties. You will need to provide relevant equipment, resources, and chemicals to support classroom practical lessons, plus the setting up of apparatus as requested.
Responsibilities
- Support science practical lessons and provide relevant equipment, resources, and chemicals.
- Set up apparatus for classroom work.
- Assist across the science department as required.
- Prepare, store, and dispose of chemicals safely in a laboratory environment.
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic and reliable with a strong organisational mindset.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and laboratory chemical handling.
- Experience in supporting science education or similar.
