About the Role
We are seeking an inspirational Singing Tutor with an enthusiastic and inclusive approach to educating young musicians. The role is self‑employed, part‑time, fixed‑term and requires the tutor to support students across a range of styles, including classical, musical theatre and contemporary/popular vocal styles.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual singing tuition on Saturdays.
- Provide vocal technique and health guidance appropriate to the age and ability of each student.
- Possibly lead a choir or vocal group based on experience and department needs.
- Teach on a timetable that includes 10 Saturdays per term.
Qualifications
- Strong technical understanding of vocal pedagogy.
- Good vocal health awareness.
- Experience teaching a broad range of ages and abilities.
- Desirable: experience with Estill Voice Training or another recognised vocal methodology.
- Good keyboard skills are desirable.
