Location: Reading
Job Description:

Hit a glass ceiling at your local fast-fit or independent garage?

You don’t need years of prestige dealership experience to step up into a world-class environment. If you have the work ethic and the basic technical foundation, we have the factory-level training, cutting-edge facilities, and dedicated support to help you make the leap.

We are hiring a Vehicle Technician to join our state-of-the-art service facility in Reading. This is your opportunity to trade high-volume stress for structured, professional career progression.

What’s in It for You?

  • Earning Potential: £30,000 – £40,000 per year (fully tailored to your current hands‑on experience and qualifications).
  • Your Weekends Back: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:30—absolutely no weekend shifts.
  • Serious Time Off: Enhanced 33 days of annual leave (including bank holidays) so you can actually switch off and recharge.
  • The Perks: Subsidised premium car schemes, high street retail discounts, gym membership savings, and a cycle‑to‑work scheme.
  • The Environment: A spotlessly clean, modern workshop equipped with the latest brand‑specific diagnostic software, top‑tier tooling, and supplied PPE.

Who We Are

As one of the UK’s leading automotive groups, we don’t just fix cars—we build careers. We’ve built a workshop culture in Reading that rejects the old‑school, high‑pressure dealership stereotypes. Instead, we focus on genuine team collaboration, safety‑first standards, and investing heavily in our people so they actually want to stay long‑term.

Your Day-to-Day

Working in our high‑tech Reading facility, you will:

  • Handle a diverse mix of vehicle diagnostics, routine vehicle servicing, and complex mechanical repairs.
  • Use diagnostic scanners and factory software to systematically track down and fix tricky electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Work to clear, structured manufacturer guidelines, ensuring every job is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Keep digital job cards updated and collaborate closely with a supportive team of master technicians.

What You Bring to the Table

  • The Credentials: A recognised automotive qualification (NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • The Background: Solid experience in an auto repair shop, fast‑fit centre, independent garage, or MOT centre.
  • The Drive: A strong team‑player attitude, a sharp eye for detail, and the motivation to learn premium brand systems.
  • The Basics: A full, valid UK driving licence.

Location & Commute

Our modern dealership is based in Reading, offering an easy daily commute for technicians based in Wokingham, Bracknell, Maidenhead, Slough, Newbury, Henley‑on‑Thames, and the surrounding Berkshire area.

Ready to move on from the fast‑fit grind and build a proper career with a premium team?
