Job Title: Solution Architect

Duration: 6 months

Location: Telford, with 2 days/week in the office

Pay Rate: £680 per day all inc. (PAYE through Umbrella)

Job Description

• Solution Architect required for CESA Futures programme, within Tax Admin.
• Opportunity to work on an exciting, large-scale application modernisation/cloud migration programme addressing a large number of the client’s key business services.
• The programme will drive adoption of mainstream technology stacks, combined with modern delivery and service capabilities, involving public cloud migrations and significantly reducing current tech debt.
• Should thrive on variety and enjoy working across the full lifecycle of a project.
• Operate as technical leads within a project or programme team from the onset of solution design and development through to final delivery and implementation into Live Service.
• Support the development of commercial proposals and own the technical solution governance at all stages.

Your Role

• Own the solution design through delivery phases, resolve technical challenges and decisions in partnership with project and engagement management teams to deliver solution into Live operation.
• Have experience with a wide range of technologies, including public and private cloud solutions, best practices, and general ways of working.
• Influence and advise on the most appropriate solution options, being highly credible with clients and senior internal stakeholders.

Key Activities

• Take ownership of individual application modernisation requirements within the overall programme.
• Drive solution development and document solution designs, ensuring good architectural practices throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensure solutions and artefacts adhere to Architecture Governance processes.
• Work with agile development teams and delivery architects through all phases of the solution lifecycle.
• Serve as the face to internal and external senior stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

• Experience of application modernisation and public cloud migration.
• Experience working with agile development teams and delivery architects through all phases of the solution lifecycle.
• Show ownership of solutions and be the face to internal and external senior stakeholders.
• Operate as part of the Capgemini Programme team, reporting to the Programme Lead Architect.
• Develop excellent working relationships with clients to become trusted advisors through boldness and honesty.
• Manage technical relationships with vendors, third parties, and the wider Capgemini.
• Ensure solution delivery is performed according to agreed specifications.
• Own technical problem management and resolution relevant to solution development.
