Location: Warrington

Employment type: Full time

Shift pattern: Work Shift: Afternoons, Hours per Week: 40, shift start 13:00 to 22:00, 9 shifts per 2 week period.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transport operation within the department, ensuring goods move safely, legally, and on time.
• Oversee day‑to‑day transport activity, from scheduling and vehicle deployment to delivery accuracy.
• Apply established procedures, carry out routine checks, and ensure full compliance with legal requirements and Asda standards.
• Achieve departmental KRAs while supporting broader depot strategy.
• Analyze transport data, produce reports, and use insights to drive decisions.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to support wider depot operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with structured transport or logistics procedures.
• Experience supervising colleagues or leading routine operational activity.
• Strong planning skills, including scheduling and prioritising work.
• Understanding of safe systems of work and transport compliance.
• Ability to interpret data, analyse trends, and produce clear reports.
• Strong communication and people support skills.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
