Test Manager

Overview

Test Manager – £800 to £900 per day Inside IR35 – London (Hybrid, 2 days per week)

La Fosse have partnered with an organisation in the insurance sector to recruit a 3 month Test Manager contract. You’ll be responsible for managing testing across a large scale migration release, working closely with internal teams and a third party partner, ensuring delivery stays on track. This role is less about deep technical detail and more focused on coordination, oversight, and stakeholder management at a senior level, including exposure to the CIO.

Responsibilities

• Own test execution planning and delivery
• Oversee defect management and triage processes
• Support UAT coordination (phased delivery approach)
• Manage regression testing activities
• Drive go/no-go readiness and reporting packs
• Ensure appropriate risk management and defect acceptance decisions
• Hold third parties accountable for delivery and quality

Qualifications

• Proven Test Manager with strong delivery experience
• Solid understanding of test execution, defect lifecycle, and release management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills (including C suite exposure)
• Excellent coordination and oversight capabilities
• Comfortable working in low test maturity environments and bringing structure
• Insurance experience is helpful but not essential
