Overview

We are recruiting for several positions within the Operations Centre, which delivers 24/7 critical services including emergency telecare, security alarms and community safety. Candidates will respond to emergency calls, operate a range of platforms, and work in a high‑pressure, integrated environment.

Roles & Shift Patterns

  • Fixed Term (12 months) – Full Time Day Shift (07:30–19:30)Two positions covering sickness. Pattern: 2,2,3 or 4 days working, 4 days off (subject to vacancies).
  • Permanent – Full Time Night Role (19:30–07:30)
  • Permanent – Part Time Night Role (19:30–07:30; 19.25 hrs/week)

Night shift patterns: Full time – 4 days on, 4 days off. Part time – 2 days on, 6 days off. All roles include bank holiday and weekend work in line with shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Respond to telecare emergency calls, provide reassurance and coordinate appropriate responses.
  2. Operate telecare, security alarm platforms, surveillance cameras, telephony, intercom, radio, car park and concierge services.
  3. Maintain accurate records, communicate with customers, clients, directorates and external organisations.
  4. Use Microsoft Office and other IT tools confidently.
  5. Work creatively and independently to solve problems within the operational framework.

Qualifications & Vetting

All positions require Police NPPV2 Full vetting, which necessitates a minimum of 3 years UK residency. An Enhanced DBS check will also be required. Candidates who do not meet the residency criteria will not proceed past the interview stage.
