Senior Highways Engineer in Manchester, Greater Manchester

Our client, a prominent consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Senior Highways Engineer on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects including schemes for Highways, local authorities, private developments, and major infrastructure projects such as temporary works and access roads for HARP with United Utilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality geometric designs using Civil 3D software
• Managing and overseeing infrastructure projects from conception through to completion
• Coordinating with project teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery
• Collaborating with local authorities, Highways, and private developers
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members
• Preparing and presenting design reports and documentation
• Conducting site visits and assessments as required
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements

Job Requirements

• Expert level proficiency in Civil 3D software
• Strong experience in geometric design and infrastructure projects
• Solid understanding of highways engineering principles and practices
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders including local authorities, Highways, and private developers
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
