Senior Compliance & Risk Manager
We’re looking for a Senior Compliance & Risk Manager to join our team on a permanent basis, based in either Bradford or London King’s Cross. This hybrid role blends office and home working.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continually enhance the risk management framework, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, prioritised, mitigated, and monitored across the business.
- Manage and develop compliance frameworks, including ISO45001 and other relevant ISO standards, keeping them effective and aligned with business needs.
- Conduct and oversee complex compliance and incident investigations, carrying out root‑cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation, regulation and industry standards, translating requirements into practical policies, controls and processes.
- Own and maintain the company’s central risk register, providing oversight and ensuring appropriate escalation and reporting.
- Partner with Governance, Risk & Compliance team and other stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
- Act as the key contact for external auditors and UKAS‑accredited certification bodies, managing audits and maintaining ISO certifications.
- Lead management reviews, internal audits and corrective‑action programmes to drive compliance and operational excellence.
- Deliver training, coaching and expert guidance on health, safety, risk and compliance requirements across the organisation.
- Monitor supplier and third‑party compliance against relevant ISO standards and organisational requirements.
- Track and analyse Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), providing insights and reporting to senior leadership.
- Support the expansion and evolution of ISO management systems to meet new business requirements and regulatory obligations.
Qualifications
- Essential: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; extensive experience managing risk across operational, regulatory, health & safety, compliance and technology environments.
- Essential: Strong knowledge and practical experience of implementing and maintaining ISO management systems, including ISO14001, ISO45001 and other recognised standards.
- Essential: Proven understanding of risk‑management frameworks such as ISO31000 and ISO27000 series.
- Essential: Excellent stakeholder management, collaboration, organisational and project‑management skills, with ability to prioritise and deliver against deadlines.
- Essential: Highly developed risk assessment, compliance monitoring and control evaluation skills.
- Desirable: Experience in a technology‑led or BPO environment; professional certification in ISO standards implementation, management or auditing.
- Desirable: Familiarity with additional ISO frameworks (ISO42001, ISO27001, ISO22301, ISO27701) and compliance platforms such as Vanta, OneTrust.
- Desirable: Strong analytical, research and problem‑solving skills; ability to quickly understand complex technologies and regulatory considerations.
- Desirable: Experience operating within dynamic, high‑growth organisations and understanding of commercial, legal and regulatory landscapes relevant to Liberty Blume.
