Senior People Operations Specialist (HR Manager)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all People processes run smoothly and support employees and managers throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Create a seamless employee experience by improving People systems, payroll, compliance, and employee administration.
  • Own and continuously improve core People Operations processes, ensuring a smooth journey from onboarding to off‑boarding.
  • Manage employment administration, maintain accurate employee records, and coordinate payroll and benefits with internal and external partners.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on People policies, processes, and employment‑related matters.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, improve data quality, and enhance the employee experience through better tools and processes.
  • Support compliance efforts, maintain high standards of data privacy and documentation, and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Administration, or a similar HR role.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR administration practices.
  • Experience supporting payroll and benefits processes.
  • Experience working with HR systems and HRIS platforms such as HiBob.
  • Proven ability to improve processes, drive operational excellence, and support organizational growth.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Service‑oriented approach with a focus on employee experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; comfortable working independently and taking ownership of outcomes.
  • Nice to have experience in a technology, cloud, AI, or scale‑up environment; supporting international teams; working with EOR/PEO providers; implementing HR systems; or using AI/automation.

Location & Employment

London, United Kingdom – hybrid mode (3 days per week in the London office). Full‑time, permanent. Reporting line: Head of People Operations.
