Job Description:

We are looking for a Broadcast Engineering team member to support live productions for TNT Sports and Discovery/Eurosport, covering a range of sports such as football, cricket, rugby and cycling.

The role is based at Stockley Park in London, working on a shift‑based pattern which includes weekends and occasional nights, with some work required at other sites such as Chiswick Park.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery of all engineering requirements alongside other engineering teams.
  • Work with Production to ensure the smooth running of live events.
  • Implement ticketing through to resolution, carry out repairs and maintenance.
  • Support team projects as required and assist the Projects team with large‑scale work.
  • Keep shared technical documentation up to date and communicate effectively.
  • Assist Management and Lead Broadcast Engineers as required.
  • Respond to all stakeholders in a positive, friendly and proactive manner.
  • Follow a health & safety culture, ensuring relevant maintenance and safe operating practices.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the production engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of the broadcast chain.
  • Outstanding troubleshooting skills and the ability to fault‑find from first principles.
  • Calm under high‑pressure, time‑critical broadcast production environments.
  • Extensive broadcast technical background (IP video 2110, AES 67, NMOS, UHD & HD video, HDR & SDR video, 5.1 & Dolby Atmos audio, graphics, VR/AR, replay, codecs).
  • Good understanding of IT technologies and associated challenges (networking, virtualization, storage, cloud services, security).
  • Ability to learn and keep up with technical changes in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong prioritisation, communication and documentation skills.
  • Self‑motivated team member with a strong customer‑service orientation.
  • Appreciation of project management.
  • Working knowledge of health & safety best practice.

The above requirements are desirable but not essential. Candidates with a strong technical background, a drive to learn and an aptitude for troubleshooting will be considered.
