Job Summary
At BAM we are looking to recruit a Digital Project Solutions Project Lead to join our growing team. This role will play a key part in driving digital transformation across our energy projects, enabling more efficient solutions that support our strategic ambitions. The position is based in Wellingborough and employs a hybrid working model.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage pipeline and workload to deliver appropriate service, coordinating with DPS Digital Engineering & Production and DPS Support to agree and deliver resources and services to projects and contracts.
- Ensure client and business requirements are understood and reflected in plans, specifications, reviews and controls.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through implementation of digital tools.
- Stay current on digital technology advances and monitor industry developments.
- Maintain high safety, environmental and quality standards in accordance with company policies, reporting any non‑compliance.
- Support the implementation of the DPS digital strategy within the information management domain.
- Coordinate delivery of Project and/or Asset Information Model(s) in line with Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) and BAM’s ISO19650 protocol.
- As an Appointed Party, develop and support the ISO19650 protocol and associated deliverables.
- Establish and implement systems for the management, sharing and storage of information, covering security protocols, archiving and disposal throughout the project/contract lifecycle.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with project/contract teams, clients, employers and other stakeholders to achieve ISO19650 compliance.
- Develop working relationships with internal commercial, legal and procurement functions to ensure the supply chain aligns with BAM’s ISO19650 protocol, contributing to the Master and Task Information Delivery Plans (MIDP and TIDP).
- Collaborate with wider DPS and IT resources for setup, integration, testing, training and support of digital systems, ensuring data integrity.
- Ensure digital systems and working methods are fit for purpose and efficient for the relevant stage of the project and asset lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and provide reports, analysis and forecasting as required.
- Work with commercial and legal teams to embed information requirements, standards, methods and procedures into agreements and contracts.
- Coordinate ISO19650 audits and address any non‑compliance issues.
- Contribute to the development of the MIDP and TIDP.
- Develop, implement and maintain project/contract ISO19650 protocol and associated deliverables.
- Establish and manage a meeting schedule for ISO19650 protocol reviews, aligned with the project programme and MIDP.
- Identify alignment with security protocols for information exchange and storage.
- Manage common data environment (CDE) and facilitate training and support for all involved stakeholders.
- Liaise with wider DPS to agree and deliver appropriate resources and services to projects and contracts.
What You Bring
- Potential to lead within a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop communication and management skills.
- Experience in digital construction/facilities management and document management.
- Awareness of the design and construction industry and tendering process.
- Ability to contribute to pre‑qualification and tender submissions.
- Working knowledge of the ISO19650 series.
- Higher education in construction or a related field.
- 1–2years of experience on construction projects in the digital domain.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination is beneficial but not mandatory.
Required Technical Competency
- Technical competency in 3D modelling and at least one of the following: 2D/3D information production, 2D/3D information coordination, visualisation, planning & scheduling, commercial, BIM for sustainability, BIM for FM operations (digital twins & AIMs), MMC and DFMA.
