Role Overview

To support Adult Learning’s Business Resources team with evenings involving managing reception and front counter face‑to‑face, enrolling new and existing learners at the counter and over the phone, collecting course fees as well as setting up and maintaining office administrative working processes. This role is part‑time – 16 hours per week (term‑time only), Monday – Thursday 4 pm – 8 pm (evenings).

Responsibilities

  • Use Microsoft Office applications and database systems with good analytical skills in information management and data use.
  • Complete requests for data reconciliation promptly and accurately.
  • Provide a warm welcome for visitors to the centre, dealing with all enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to Adult Learning Lewisham’s positive commitment to inclusivity and equal opportunities for all users at all times.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required, including updating administrative systems and processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Confidence in handling immediate problems with great interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in dealing with data and analysis of information, including discretion with confidential data.
  • Organised administrative work or customer‑services experience, using and updating administrative systems and processes.

Salary

£32,442 – £33,384 per annum, pro rata (Scale 4) Term Time only. All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role, subject to matching current salary (up to maximum).

Location

Working primarily at our Granville Park Centre, 100 Granville Park, London SE13 7DU. Occasionally required to work from other centres to complete training or cover leave.
