Practice Overview

Animal Medical Centre is an independent private practice between Golders Green and Cricklewood, close to West Hampstead, Hendon and Hampstead. The supportive team offers high standards of veterinary services to loyal and friendly clients.

  • Four consulting rooms – two for cats/small furries and two for dogs

Client Approach

Clients receive individual and customised care. Longer consultation times, call‑back time, and thorough communication underpin a holistic approach. We offer direct claims for insured clients where possible.

Working Hours

Open 8:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday to Friday and 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Saturdays; closed Sundays. Consultations last 20 or 30 minutes with dedicated client communication slots. Scheduled time for surgery and procedures is provided.

Support & Referrals

Supported by visiting specialists in cardiology, imaging, soft‐tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Predominant referrals to The Ralph, Davies Veterinary Specialists and the Queen Mother Hospital.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least 3 years of UK small animal practice experience
  • Curiosity and passion for holistic, empathetic care
  • Confidence in routine surgery, medicine and emergency work
  • Ability to support colleagues effectively
  • Availability 4–5 days per week, 1:3 Saturdays with day off in lieu
  • Shift pattern 8:00 am – 6:00 pm or 9:00 am – 7:00 pm on rotation; no out‑of‑hours duty
  • Morning and afternoon ward rounds; 1‑hour lunch break
