Refrigeration Engineer

Job Role: A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a skilled Refrigeration Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established industrial business with a strong reputation for investing in its engineers and facilities. Working in a days‑based role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring maximum reliability and minimal downtime across the site.
You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault‑finding, and repairs on refrigeration plant and associated equipment, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise site performance.
Non‑Negotiable Requirements
- F‑Gas Category 1 certification
- Refrigeration maintenance experience within a commercial or industrial environment
- Hands‑on experience with planned, reactive, and breakdown maintenance
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills on refrigeration systems
- Recognised Refrigeration or Air Conditioning qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Experience maintaining refrigeration plant, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and associated equipment
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working as a Refrigeration Engineer in the UK
- Experience with ammonia, CO₂, or other industrial refrigeration systems
- Electrical fault‑finding experience would be advantageous
