We’re looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our Severn Trent Framework based in Wanlip.
Location: Wanlip, Leicester
Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?
As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you’ll be working within the commissioning team, supporting them in effectively delivering the commissioning of wastewater and sludge treatment process plant.
Your day to day will include:
- Electrical inspection of cable terminations and glanding in the field and producing marked‑up as‑built electrical drawings
- Testing and commissioning of electrical power and ICA control systems including motors, setting up inverter drives, and various instrumentation
- Identifying and resolving electrical issues through effective fault‑finding and troubleshooting
- Initial start‑up and wet commissioning of pumps, blowers, gas boosters and other process equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions
- Completing detailed commissioning reports to support Take‑Over whilst ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations
What are we looking for?
- You hold a minimum City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 qualification and are an ECS (JIB) Gold Card holder
- You have experience in commissioning water MEICA projects with knowledge of wastewater and sludge treatment processes
- You possess a strong technical background in electrical engineering with experience of carrying out Authorised Person (LV) duties
- You hold a minimum qualification in safety (such as IOSH, SSSTS or SMSTS) along with CSCS or CPCS Card
- You’re a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving
