ROLE SUMMARY

You’ll work at the heart of financial technology, leveraging Arista and Cisco networking, F5 load balancing, and advanced firewall solutions (Palo Alto, Fortinet) to maintain secure, high‑speed connectivity. Your expertise with Solace messaging bus and performance monitoring tools like Netscout nPoint, Corvil, and cPacket will help guarantee flawless data flow across trading environments. This is an opportunity to shape infrastructure that underpins billions in daily transactions – where precision and reliability are paramount.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Solace messaging installations, upgrades, migrations and integrations following globally consistent methodologies.
  • Installing and maintaining networking equipment using automation tools.
  • Developing and implementing solutions to appropriate standards with moderate guidance.
  • Supporting initiatives for process and service improvements within the team.
  • Maintaining integrated solutions provided to clients with moderate guidance.
  • Assisting team members to deliver on strategic priorities and applying basic concepts and procedures.
  • Handling client queries related to professional services post‑implementation with moderate guidance.
  • Supporting technology lifecycle through design, build and maintenance of systems, software and applications to ensure high‑quality outcomes across domains.
  • Working well as part of a dedicated project team – providing valuable input and considering business impact of decisions.
  • Collaborating with network architects to bring designs to reality.
  • Translating business requirements into technical requirements and infrastructure/network capacity needs by sourcing data and undertaking analysis.
  • Ensuring reporting documentation is completed and complies with internal and external standards.
  • Scheduling and coordinating capacity/network upgrades, liaising with other areas as needed to meet service level objectives.
  • Managing upgrades and coordinating with internal and third parties where required.
  • Creating accurate documentation and monitoring system performance to contribute to business and continual improvement activities.
  • Overseeing design work in the network domain and contributing to solution creation.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an IT related discipline.
  • Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
  • Demonstrable experience in network operations and project delivery, ideally with Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet, Palo Alto.
  • Strong network routing and switching skills including LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP and OSPF.
  • Good knowledge of multicast including IGMP, RP and PIM.
  • Knowledge of low‑latency and associated technologies as deployed in the financial sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of network packet analysis and capture tools.
  • Experience with data centre networking, including SDN, Cisco ACI, VxLAN, AVD, Fortimanager.
  • Experience in cloud and a good understanding of network security, including best practices.
  • Understanding of load balancing technologies, TCP/IP, multicast and internet environments.
  • Knowledge of required Service Management processes, ideally ITIL knowledgeable (ServiceNow).
  • Good scripting and automation experience (Python & Ansible).
