Engineering / Operations Manager – Electronic Security

The Engineering / Operations Manager – Electronic Security will oversee the Southampton-based division, managing daily activities for Police, Local Authority, and Commercial clients.

This full-time position offers a salary of £55,000–£65,000 per annum and requires leading supervisors, engineers, and support staff to drive performance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering operations including installation, maintenance and reactive service delivery
• Lead supervisors, engineers and support staff, driving performance and continuous improvement
• Oversee resource planning, scheduling and operational efficiency
• Act as the senior escalation point for technical and service‑related issues
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, legislation and audit requirements
• Support commercial activities including quotations, cost control and operational performance
• Build strong customer and supplier relationships while managing escalated issues professionally
• Promote a positive health & safety culture and support ongoing training and development across the team

Requirements

• Proven experience managing engineering or electronic security teams
• Strong operational, technical and people management skills
• Knowledge of compliance standards and audit processes within the security industry
• Ability to manage customer relationships and deliver high service standards
• Commercial awareness with experience supporting operational budgets and quotations
