Production Engineer

FMCG | Birmingham | Up to £50,000 | Monday to Friday days

Responsibilities

• Oversee manufacturing processes across the site.
• Develop and lead improvement and reliability initiatives across production.
• Support and contribute to the continual optimisation of production assets.
• Work collaboratively across operational teams to ensure production targets are met.
• Use data to identify failure issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training and support to operational teams on new processes and production assets.
• Work with current and also highlight new suppliers when sourcing materials.

Qualifications

• Experienced engineer with proven experience in a technical role such as Production Engineer, Process Engineer, Reliability Engineer, or CI Engineer.
• Ideally degree educated, with Level 3 apprenticeship as a minimum.
• Manufacturing background with demonstrable knowledge in manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of regulatory and quality standards.
• Strong problem‑solver who uses data to highlight issues and areas of improvement.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and enjoys working with others to get the best results.
