Engineering Manager – 15100

Location: Burghfield, Reading – 3 days per week on site

Contracting Authority: Government Client

Contract Length: 12 months

Clearance: DV

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering delivery within complex, highly regulated or safety‑critical environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance and design management principles.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external engineering suppliers.
• Knowledge of engineering lifecycle management, configuration control and change control processes.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and provide technical leadership across multiple disciplines.
• Experience balancing safety, quality, cost and schedule considerations in engineering decision‑making.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of working on large construction projects in a nuclear or highly regulated environment.
• Candidate should ideally have an electrical or C+I background.
• Should have some commercial knowledge to ensure suppliers are being held to account on deliverables.
• Some technical knowledge to interpret drawings.
