About Arup and the Role

At Arup we are looking for Structural Engineers who want technically challenging work on cutting‑edge projects in our Building Engineering teams in London. Our London Building Engineering business has over 200 structural engineers and technicians and multidisciplinary teams of 100‑250 members, of whom 40‑80 are structural. Each team works closely with other building teams in London and beyond, as well as designers from across Arup.

Opportunities

As part of our team you will shape some of the most innovative buildings worldwide. We are currently involved with over 250 projects from concept design to practical completion across the property, science and industry sectors, from London office towers such as 50 Fenchurch Street and 8 Bishopsgate to smaller scale property retrofits and refurbishments, social infrastructure such as the British Library Extension or the London Cancer Hub, transport buildings such as London Euston Station, Sydney metro or Athens International Airport, and unique projects such as the Sagrada Familia. Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a passion for structural engineering, a flair for structural engineering design, and a practical understanding of buildings.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively in multi‑professional design teams.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to communicate through sketching, drawing, presentations and in writing.
  • Collaborates with other members of the structural team to produce drawings, specifications and other deliverables to a high quality, on time and to budget.
  • Is striving to achieve chartership in the next few years, committed to their own professional development and looking for challenging work to develop their engineering skill.
