Locum Employment Solicitor | Swansea or Cardiff Office | ASAP Start
We are working with a friendly and well established law firm in Swansea and Cardiff that is looking to recruit a Locum Employment Solicitor to support a busy Partner. With a strong and varied caseload, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced employment solicitor seeking an immediate start within a supportive team.
The firm has plenty of quality work available and the successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
The assignment is expected to last 2 to 3 months with an ASAP start.
Responsibilities
- Assist a busy Partner with a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Handle Employment Tribunal matters including litigation, drafting pleadings, ET3 responses, disclosure, witness statements and day-to-day management of claims.
- Provide practical, commercial advice with strong technical knowledge of employment law.
- Draft accurately with excellent attention to detail and manage a busy workload, prioritising to deadlines.
- Collaborate with colleagues and build strong client relationships; communicate effectively and negotiate as needed.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor with experience in Employment Law.
- Proven experience handling Employment Tribunal matters, including litigation, drafting pleadings, ET3 responses, disclosure, witness statements and management of claims.
- Strong technical knowledge of employment law with the ability to provide practical, commercial advice.
- Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Able to manage a busy workload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
- A personable team player who enjoys working collaboratively and building strong client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and case management skills.
