As a Student Recruitment Officer, you will be responsible for attracting prospective students and supporting current students in their progression to further study, driving both recruitment and retention. You will promote the institution and the Student Referral Scheme, provide personalised advice on courses and progression pathways, and guide students through the application, enrolment, and transition processes. Through proactive engagement and relationship‑building, you will help students make informed decisions while contributing to recruitment, progression, and retention targets.

What The Role Involves

  • Develop and implement effective student recruitment, progression, and retention strategies to achieve enrolment targets and increase continuing student enrolments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and current students, providing timely guidance and support through phone, email, social media, and face‑to‑face interactions.
  • Provide accurate and detailed information on academic programmes, progression pathways, admission requirements, funding options, student support services, and career development opportunities.
  • Promote the institution, its programmes, and the Student Referral Scheme through presentations, workshops, information sessions, campus tours, recruitment events, and outreach activities.
  • Proactively engage with prospective and existing students to identify recruitment and progression opportunities, supporting informed decision-making and successful student outcomes.
  • Support students through the application, admission, enrolment, and progression processes, providing guidance on course selection, documentation requirements, and next steps.
  • Utilise CRM systems and other designated tools to manage student pipelines, track engagement and conversion activities, maintain accurate records, and deliver personalised follow‑up communications.
  • Collaborate with admissions teams, academic departments, programme leaders, and student support services to enhance the student experience and contribute to recruitment, progression, retention, and conversion targets.

About You

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with students, parents, and educational partners.
  • Knowledge of the education landscape, admission processes, and financial aid options.
  • Proficiency in using various digital platforms, social media, and CRM systems for recruitment purposes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented with a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel to attend recruitment events as required.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting is a plus.
